I will be sending this form with petition to every congressman and to the President once I have gotten 500,000 entries. That's alot of people and may take a while to get, but with your help, we can do it and help others in their fight with insurance companies! IF YOU COMPLETE MY PETITION FORM, THIS MEANS YOU ARE SIGNING THE PETITION FOR MANDATORY COVERAGE FOR WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY TO BECOME A FEDERAL LAW.

We will make this Federal Law. Not just a state to state law. Like myself, some people have problems with insurance company exclusion policies or denials even though a medical need for Gastric Bypass Surgery is established. THIS IS WRONG! Through all of my trials and tribulations and reading of problems with exclusion policies, I decided to do something about it. So please, I encourage you to sign this petition and let everyone else who is a supporter of WLS know about this site!

UPDATE 2/9/04: We have reached over 10,000 signatures and we are well on our way to getting some attention when it comes to insurance companies denying coverage of weight loss surgery. UPDATE 12/3/02: As you may have seen, the petition has come under attack from MANY people slamming overweight people. Please do not respond to these malicious attacks by posting responses. It only eggs them on to post more nasty comments.

UPDATE 11/25/02: I have been informed by a former Capital Hill Intern, that a petition is not even considered until 500,000 to a million signatures are collected. This may take a year or two but we will do it.
