Weeks 6 and on, post-operatively: Low Carb
Eating after week 6 is on a low-carb trial basis. Trial meaning that everyone
is different and foods will react differently with each of us.
The dreaded "D" word - DUMPING. How do you know your dumping? EASY.
Signs and symptoms are nausea, cramping, vomiting, a clammy feeling, sweating, diarrhea and palpitations.
If a new food does make you dump, wait three to four days and try it again.
If that food continues to give you problems, you know you can't tolerate it.
If you continue to dump, vomit or feel
nauseated after eating after week 9 and on, you may want to see your surgeon. You may have some problems with your
new pouch.
